> Courses Offered

The Academic Activities of the Institute are 

• Diploma course in Medical Laboratory Technology. The duration of the course is for 2 years.

• One year certificate course in Medical Laboratory technology for physically handicapped students.

The intake of students is through a selection process after publication through Dailies. Application forms are issued to eligible students, criteria for eligibility being pass in HSC exam.

• Imparting training to undergraduate and post-graduate Medical students.

The various subjects for which training is imparted include :

Microbiology, Virology, Blood Banking and Care of Laboratory animals. The training encompasses both theoretical and practical aspects of the above mentioned fields

• Doctoral programmes in the Department of Virology affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr.MGR Medical University.
