ORDER:

The Government have condemned 26 vehicle in the various medical institutions in the normal course.? But so far? no new vehicles have been provided in the place of condemned vehicles and the various medical institutions attached to the Directorate of Medical Education are very badly in need of vehicle for their day to day activities.

2. The Director of Medical Education has therefore requested the Government to accord sanction for purchase of? the following? vehicles against replacement of condemned? vehicle for use in the medical institutions under his control at a total of Rs. 80 lakhs under Part II Scheme 2001-2002 and to provide funds in the Budget Estimate 2001-2002.

3. Sanction is accorded for incurring a non-recurring expenditure of the Rs. 80 lakhs (Rupees eighty lakhs only) for purchase of the vehicles of suggested by the Director of Medical Education in para 2 above against replacement of condemned vehicles under Part II Scheme 2001-2002.

4.The Director of Medical Education is requested to follow the guidelines prescribed in G.O.Ms.No.1285/Home(Tr.IV)/dt.23.8.93 and G.O.Ms.No.174/ Home (Tr.IV)/ dt.2.2.93 while purchasing new vehicles.

5.? The expenditure shall be debited to the following Head of Account, 2210-Medical and Public Health 05-Medical Education Training and Research 105- Allopathy? Schemes in the Nineth Five Year Plan II - State Plan - JA - Improvements to Medical Colleges 21 - Motor Vehicles 01 Purchase".(DPC -2210 - 05- 105- JA- 2111)

6. This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.O.No.63971/H.II/2001,Health, dated:17.9.2001.
