INDIAN MEDICINE AND HOMEOPATHY UNDER GRADUATE COURSES ELIGIBILITY Age limit for admission :? The candidates should complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the concerned year. Qualification : (i) Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Certificate (Academic) Examination conducted by the Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary State Board in the first appearance? with the following group of subjects with minimum eligible marks shall be eligible for consideration for admission to the first year in BSMS/BHMS/BAMS/BNYS/BUMS Course. (a) Physics, chemistry, Botany and Zoology. ?????? OR (b) Physics, Chemistry and Biology with any other subject. (ii) Candidates who have passed any other equivalent examination with the same group? of subjects as mentioned above shall also be eligible for consideration for admission to the first year BSMS/BHMS/BAMS/BNYS/BUMS course.? It shall be the responsibility of the Candidate concerned to obtain the necessary eligibility Certificate from Tamil Nadu Dr.MGR Mledical University and submit before admission to the course. (i) For BSMS Course Candidates should have studied in Tamil Medium upto X Standard or Higher Secondary Course. OR Should have passed Tamil as a subject in X Standard or in Higher Secondary Course. (ii) Candidates who have passed HSC Vocational Stream and PUC are NOT ELIGIBLE for admission to the First year BSMS/BHMS/BAMS/BNYS/BUMS Courses. (iii) Candidates who have done TwoYears PUC Course sfrom other staes should obtain an eligibility equivalent certificate from Tamil Nadu Dr.MGR Medical University and enclose the same along with the application. (iv) Candidates who have already undergone or are undergoing any of the Professional Courses in BSMS/ BHMS/ BAMS/ BNYS/ BUMS/ MBBS/BDS/ .PHARM/ BSc., (Nursing) BPT/BOT/Engineering/Law/Agriculture/Veterinary etc. for six months or more are NOT ELIGIBLE? to apply to the Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy Courses. MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY MARKS FOR BSMS/BHMS/BAMS/BNYS COURSES.? (i) Other Communities (a) A Minimum of 60% marks in Biology or Botany and Zoology taken together. (ii) Backward Class (a) A minimum of 60% marks in Biology or Botany and zoology taken together. (iii) Most Backward Classes and Denotified Communities (a) A minimum of 55% marks in Biology or Botany and zoology taken together. (iv) Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe (a) A minimum of 40% marks in Biology or Botany and zoology taken together. (A) ELIGIBILITY MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION FOR BUMS Candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate (Academic) Examination conducted by the Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary State Board or its equivalent with the following group of subjects shall be eligible for 1st year BUMS Course. (i) Physics? (ii)? Chemistry? (iii)? Biology or Botany and Zoology. Candidates who have passed any other equivalent examination with the same group of subjects as mentioned above shall also be eligible for consideration for admission to the first year BUMS Course.? It shall be the responsibility of the candidate concerned to obtain the necessary eligibility Certificate from Tamil Nadu Dr.MGR Medical University and submit before admission to the course. Candidates who should have studies in URDU Medium upto? X Std,? OR Should have passed Urdu/ Arabic/Persian as a subject either in X? Std or in Higher Secondary Course. OR Should have passed the Addeeb-e-Fazil Examination or Entrance Examination of Affzal-Ul-Ulama Examination of the University of Madras are eligible to apply for the BUMS course.? Candidates who have studied HSC Course with Vocational stream and Pre-University Course are not eligible to apply for this Course. NOTE: In the case of candidates who have furnished the mark sheets of the qualifying examination, only in GRADES, the minimum marks of the grades alone will be taken into consideration while determining the marks in the Science Subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Botany and Zoology. IMPROVEMENT MARKS IN HSC (ACADEMIC) AND OTHER EQUIVALENT EXAMINATION. (i) In the case of candidates who have successfully completed all the subjects of the HSC (Academic) or any other equivalent examination, the marks in the first regular appearance of the marks obtained by them in the first improvement, whichever is higher, shall be considered. In the case of candidates who have completed HSC (Academic) or any other equivalent examination in the second appearance marks obtained by them by improvement shall not be considered.? In other words, 1. First appearance for passing the examination and second appearance for improvement. ??? (OR) 2.Two appearances for passing the examination only shall be considered. However in the case of candidates belonging? to SC/ST, three attempts, including the appearance for improvement or to complete the examination successfully, shall be considered. (ii) If a candidate takes up improvement examinations in subjects not prescribed (example Mathematics/English) for BSMS/BHMS/BAMS/BNYS/BUMS? Courses in the first appearance after the qualifying examinations HSC (Academic) and in the subsequent appearances takes up improvement examinations in the subjects prescribed for BSMS/BHMS/BAMS/BNYS/BUMS Courses even for the first time, then the marks obtained in the prescribed subjects in the subsequent appearance will be considered as marks obtained in second appearance and it shall not be considered for selection. (iii) If the marks in the subjects prescribed for BSMS/BHMS/BAMS/BNYS AND BUMS? Courses are improved in the first and subsequent appearance, the marks obtained in the subject(s) in the frist appearance alone shall be taken. EXAMPLE:?? If a candidate takes up improvement? examination in Biology in first appearance after the qualifying examination and then in subsequent appearance takes up improvement examination in Physics and Chemistry for the first time, the improvement marks in Biology alone will be considered and marks obtained in Physics and Chemistry? shall be considered as marks obtained in second appearance and these marks shall not be considered for selection. (iv) The registration to write an improvement examination will not be considered as an appearance in case, the candidate has absented himself/herself from writing the examination in all the registered subjects. (v) Registration to write the qualifying examination will not be counted for the number of attempts to pass in case the Candidates has absented himself/herself from writing the examination in all registered subjects. APPEARANCE IN TAMIL NADU PROFESSIONAL COURSES ENTRANCE EXAMINATION (TNPCEE) 2001 ISA PRE-REQUISITE FOR CONSIDERATION OF APPLICATION. All the? eligible candidates seeking admission to BSMS/BHMS/BAMS/BNYS/BUMS Courses in the Government Colleges and Self - Financing Colleges should have appeared for the Tamil Nadu Professional course Entrance Examination respective year conducted by the Anna University covering the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Botany and Zoology. Candidates applying for admission against nominees? referred to in para 3.5 (viii) in the prospectus and NRI Quota of Self Financing? Medical Colleges are exempted from appearing for respective year. Candidates should apply directly to Anna University Separately in the Application form prescribed by Anna University for writing Tamil Nadu Professional Course Entrance? Examination respective year. Candidates should note that mere admission to write the Tamil Nadu Professional Course Entrance Examination will not confer any right for consideration for admission unless they fulfill all the requirements prescribed by the Government for admission to BSMS/BHMS/BAMS/BNYS/BUMS? Courses. Admission procedure : Admission will be made purely on merit of the marks in subjects and Entrance Examination and rules of reservation as specified as follows: 1. 31% for O.C. These percentage of rule of reservation shall be applicable for the seats in Government Colleges and Free seats in Self Financing Colleges (Private Colleges). In the case of payment seats, the rule of reservation shall not apply. |
