MINIMUM MARKS FOR PARA MEDICAL COURSES

B. Pharmacy : Candidates should have obtained 50% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Botony and Zoology taken together in the Qualifying Examination (+2). However candidates belonging to SC/ST the minimum marks should be 40% in aggregate in Science subjects.

D.Pharmacy candidates seeking admission under Lateral Entry Scheme into second year B.Pharm directly should have obtained 50% marks in both first and second year D.Pharm course and should have obtained 50% marks in the select subjects in +2 Exam.

The candidates with less than 50% marks in both years of D.Pharm course will be entitled to get admission only into I year B.pharm course.

The Candidates who have passed the Diploma in Pharmacy course should submit the provisional certificate for having passed the Diploma Examination and should have completed 500 /750 hours of practical training at the time of applying for the B.Pharmacy course. The Diploma candidates are exempted from appearing for the Entrance Examination conducted by the Anna University, Chennai. (TNPCEE '2002) and they will be admitted into Second year B.Pharm course directly under Lateral Entry Scheme. (for further details the prospectus may be referred).

B.Sc., (Nursing), B.P.T., B.O.T. :? Candidates of all communities should have passed in the select Science subjects in the Qualifying Examination.

Candidates who have already undergone or undergoing any other Professional course for Six Months and more and candidates studying presently in any professional courses are not eligible to apply.

OC / BC / MBC/ DC Candidates Should Pass the qualifying examination in One appearance and one attempt for improvement are permitted.

4. ISSUE OF APPLICATION FORMS WITH PROSPECTUS :
The application form with Prospectus will be issued from the all Government Medical Colleges / Tamil Nadu Dental College and Government College of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Tiruchirappalli on all days from 27-05-2002 to 08-06-2002, 5.00 P.M.
5.? APPLICATION FORMS AND PROSPECTUS WILL NOT BE ISSUED FROM THE DIRECTORATE OF MEDICAL EDUCATION AND SELECTION COMMITTEE OFFICES AT KILPAUK, CHENNAI-10.
6. The Candidates / Authorised persons should give written requisition to the Deans/Principals of the above Government Medical Institutions requesting for application forms with Prospectus for each course separately enclosing crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of "THE SECRETARY, SELECTION COMMITTEE, KILPAUK, CHENNAI-10", towards the cost of application forms with Prospectus. The Demand Draft should have been issued by any one of the NATIONALISED BANKS ONLY and dated NOT EARLIER THAN 27-05-2002 and should be payable at CHENNAI through the STATE BANK OF INDIA, Treasury Branch, Thousand Lights, Chennai-600 006.

S.C/S.T candidates are exempted from payment of cost of applications and Prospectus and they can obtain the application on written requisition duly enclosing the attested Xerox copy of the Community Certificate. SC / ST candidates those who want to get the Application by ordinary post should enclose the postal stamp to the value of Rs.60/- (Rupees Sixty only).
Further the application can be obtained by post by addressing the Dean / Principal of Government Medical / Dental Colleges, duly enclosing the postal stamp to the value of Rs.60/- (Rupees Sixty only) for ordinary post.
