How to Access EHP ReportsIt is EHP’s goal to make its publications available electronically. Virtually all publications from 1997 onward can be retrieved from this site in electronic format. Documents are provided in PDF (Portable Document Format) and require either the Adobe Acrobat browser plug-in or the Acrobat Reader software for viewing. EHP Publication CategoriesStrategic Reports: Guidelines, frameworks, issue papers and policy papers that examine broad topics rather than specific field activities in one location.Activity Reports: Products of specific requests for technical assistance by USAID missions or bureaus. These reports are designed primarily to meet the need of the client. These reports also document the work of EHP in various countries or regions or in specific technical areas. Publications from EHP II (1999–2004) start with Activity Report 101. Those from EHP I (1993–1999) are numbered 1–79.Joint Publications: Products published by EHP in collaboration with other partners and publishers.Guidelines and Tools: Developed by EHP staff and partners to meet identified needs expressed by environmental health program implementers around the world. They are documents that provide direction for program managers to plan, implement and monitor environmental health activities in the field. They will be available in hard copy and posted on the web.EHP Briefs: Brief, two-page summaries of EHP activities. Each EHP Brief focuses on an area of particular interest and addresses a general audience.E-Newsletter/EHP News: A monthly newsletter on EHP happenings and activities. All reports in this category were prepared during the first EHP contract (1993–1999).Capsule Reports: Short pamphlets (8–10 pages) that condense or synthesize information on a technical topic to reach a wide audience.EH&P: Periodic newsletters from EHP I (1993–1999). Each issue contains an article on a particular topic of concern to EHP plus information on EHP activities.EHP Brochure in (English), (French) and (Spanish)Lessons Learned from EHP IILessons Learned from EHP I Special Brochures: Illustrated booklets describing an EHP approach or methodology, with many field examples, diagrams, photos and guidelines for action.WASH ReportsGolden Oldies Now Available: EHP’s predecessor, the Water and Sanitation for Health (WASH) Project, in operation under three consecutive contracts from 1980–1994, published over 500 reports. Print copies of all WASH reports are available from USAID’s Development Experience Clearinghouse. Reports can be located in that system by author, title or subject, or by citing the USAID project number. The three WASH contracts were project numbers 9311176, 9365942 and 9365973.
