  • Production of blood grouping reagent Anti A1 Lectin for supply to Government and Private Blood -Banks in Tamil Nadu.

  • Immunohaemetological investigations, such as Blood grouping, Rh typing, Coombs test and Rh antibody titre for Rh incompatibility and ABO incompatibility are carried out.

  • Quality control tests are performed for the Blood grouping reagents sent by Tamil Nadu AIDS control society, to be supplied to Government Blood Banks in Tamil Nadu.

  • Teaching program is conducted for M.Sc (Micro), M.D (Micro) DCP and DMLT students

  • Training is given to Blood Bank Medical Officers, Staff nurses and Technicians on Blood Transfusion and Immunohaemetology.
