??????????? Applications are invited for admission to B.Pharmacy/ B.Sc.(Nursing)/ B.P.T/ B.O.T. Degree courses for 2006-2007 session in Government/Self-Financing Para Medical Institutions in the State of Tamilnadu.

1. ISSUE OF APPLICATION FORMS WITH PROSPECTUS: The application???? form with Prospectus will be issued from all the Government Medical Colleges and Government College of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Tiruchirappalli on all days from 03-07-2006 to 17-07-2006 upto 3.00 p.m.?

2. The Candidates/Authorised persons should give written requisition to the??? Deans of the above Government Medical Institutions requesting for???? application form with Prospectus enclosing a crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of “THE SECRETARY, SELECTION? COMMITTEE, KILPAUK, CHENNAI-10?, towards the cost of application form with Prospectus.? The Demand Draft should have been issued by any of the NATIONALISED BANKS ONLY and dated NOT EARLIER THAN? 03-07-2006 and should be payable at CHENNAI.

S.C/S.T. candidates are exempted from payment of cost of application and Prospectus and they can obtain the application on written requisition duly enclosing the attested xerox copy of the Community Certificate.

Applications can also be obtained by post by addressing the Dean of Government Medical Colleges duly enclosing the postal stamp to the value of Rs.60/- (Rupees Sixty only) for ordinary post.
?
S.C./S.T.? candidates? who want to get the application by ordinary post should enclose the postal stamp to the value of Rs.60/-(Rupees Sixty only).

Applications can also be downloaded from the Website:? http://tnhealth.org and can be submitted alongwith the required Demand Draft. “Downloaded Application sent without Demand Draft will not be considered.

3.APPLICATION FORMS AND PROSPECTUS WILL NOT BE ISSUED FROM THE DIRECTORATE OF MEDICAL EDUCATION AND SELECTION

4.Applications for Special Category:

Candidates applying under Special Category should fill up the Common Application Form prescribed for General? Category and also they should apply in the application form prescribed for Special Category which could be obtained on payment of Rs.100/- in the form of Demand Draft. Candidates applying under Special Category should submit the application with relevant documents, without required documents, the claim will not be considered under any circumstances.

(a)?? Seats available in Para Medical Courses [B.Sc.(Nursing), B.Pharmacy., B.P.T.]

(b)?? The actual number of seats in the Self Financing Colleges for BSc(Nursing),B.Pharmacy,B.P.T,B.O.T will be exhibited at the time of Counselling.

6.ELIGIBILITY:? The candidate should be a citizen of India and a Native of ? TamilNadu.
?
7.AGE LIMIT :? The candidates should have completed the age of 17 years?on or? before? 31st December 2006.???
?
8.QUALIFICATION:
?
A) Candidates? should have passed H.Sc. (Academic) Examination conducted by? the State Board or any other equivalent examination in the FIRST??? APPEARANCE, with the following group of subjects with the minimum???? eligibility marks:
i)??????????????????? Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology (or)
ii)????????????????? Physics, Chemistry, Biology with any other subject.
?
B) Candidates who have passed any other qualifying examination other than the HSC (Academic) Examination conducted by the State Board should submit the eligibility certificate obtained from the Tamilnadu Dr.M.G.R. Medical?? University, Chennai before admission.
?
C) MINIMUM MARKS FOR PARAMEDICAL COURSE
?
?B.Pharmacy:
?
All categories other than SC/ST: Individual pass in Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany and Zoology both Theory and Practical with a minimum of 35% marks and with not less than 50% aggregate marks in the above subjects is mandatory.
?
For SC/ST: Individual pass in Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany and????? Zoology both Theory and Practical with a minimum of 35% of marks and with???? not less than 40% aggregate marks in the above subjects.
?
B.Sc.(Nursing), B.P.T., B.O.T. :
?
All categories : Individual pass in Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany and Zoology both Theory and Practical with a minimum of 35% marks in each of the above subjects is mandatory.
?
A pass in English with a minimum of 35% marks is mandatory for all???? categories.
?
D) D.PHARMACY candidates seeking admission under Lateral Entry?
???? Scheme:
?
a)? Candidates belonging to all communities should have an aggregate of 50% of marks in the Part I (First Year) and Part II(Second Year) in D.Pharmacy Examinations with a pass in HSC with the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics.
(or)
????? Candidates belonging to all communities must have obtained not less than? 50% of marks in aggregate in HSC with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or????? Mathematics with a pass in two year D.Pharmacy Course.
?
b)? The candidates who have passed the Diploma in Pharmacy course should submit the provisional certificate for having passed the Diploma Examination and should have completed 500/750 hours of practical training at the time of applying for the B.Pharmacy Course.? The Diploma Candidates are exempted from appearing for the Entrance Examination conducted by the Anna? University, Chennai (TNPCEE-2006) and they will be admitted into Second year B.Pharmacy course directly under Lateral Entry Scheme (for further details the prospectus may be referred).

9.? All candidates seeking admission for B.Pharmacy, B.Sc.(Nursing)., B.P.T. and B.O.T. courses except seeking admission under Lateral Entry scheme should have appeared for the Tamilnadu Professional Courses Entrance Examination (TNPCEE) conducted by the Anna University for? 2006.

10.The following candidates are not eligible to apply:
?
a) Candidates who have passed HSC course in Vocational Stream.
?
b) Those candidates who are presently undergoing any of the Professional???? Courses such as MBBS, BDS, B.Pharmacy, B.Sc.(Nursing), B.P.T., B.O.T.,???? BSMS, BHMS, Engineering, Law, Agriculture, Veterinary etc. and those who have discontinued on any grounds the professional courses mentioned leading? to waste of a seat.
