Expressions of Interest

??????????? ??????????? The Government of Tamil Nadu has applied for financing from the World Bank towards the cost of the Tamil Nadu Health Systems Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consultant services.? The Services include

1.? Package No. NCD - 1????? Baseline Survey for assessment of awareness about risk factors including smoking rates and management of non-communicable diseases (Cardio vascular disease including hyper tension ) prevalent in the districts.? The Consultant will be selected by Quality and Cost based selection? (QCBS ) method .

Implementation period : ?06 months from 30 June 2005

2. Package No. QOC 2????? Consultancy for conducting baseline survey on hospital utilization and ?patient satisfaction in the districts. The Consultant will be selected by Consultants Qualification (CQ) method .

Implementation period : 06 months from 11 April 2005

The Project Director, Tamil Nadu Health Systems Project, now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services ( Brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff,? etc.) Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.

The consultants may give Expression of Interest for either one of the above packages or for both the packages, clearly indicating their option separately.

A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the? World Banks guidelines :? Selection and employment of consultants by World Bank Borrowers ( Current edition )?
