  • This department carries out the Containerization of all vaccines manufactured at KIPM. Vaccines are received in bulk sterile containers from the manufacturing department for distribution in vials of 5, 10, 15, 20, 30 ml using automatic filling and vial capping machines under strict aseptic condition as per the GMP.

  • The containerized vaccines are stored in the 'cold room' at 2? to 8? Celsius until they are certified for release by the Biological control department.? The vaccines are supplied to the Tamil Nadu Medical Services corporation for distribution to all hospitals, PHCs and dispensaries.

  • In addition, pyrogen - free distilled water and standard de-ionized water are being manufactured from the multicolumn distilled water plant and distributed to various departments for the manufacture of vaccines and sera.
