Future Vision 

1. Steps are being taken to revive the manufacturing unit according to GMP norms utilizing it as a common facility for the production of Anti snake venom, cholera and Typhoid Vaccine.

2.Separate Molecular lab for isolation of food borne pathogens - lab facilities can be extended for surveillance of noon meal centers.

3.Our Institute can be recognized as the Referral Institute to assess the quality of packed (ready to cook & eat) food items.

4. Manufacture of indigenous diagnostic ELISA kits for salmonella species.

5. Expansion of diagnostic lab with a pilot project for extraction and fixing of enzymes of commercial importance.

6. Mechanisation of Veterinary and Small Animal Section.

7. Existing Biological control lab can extend its quality control services towards Blood bank and other Private Manufacturers.

8. It is proposed to start a Tissue banking Laboratory.

9. Proposal given for starting M.Sc. (Applied Microbiology) � 3 years course for UG students of B.Sc., (Microbiology, Biotechnology/other branches of sciences.

10. Proposal given for starting B.Sc., MLT course in Laboratory Technology.

11. Proposal for starting Fellowship Programme of one year each in food Microbiology & manufacture of vaccines.

12. It is proposed to start summer training Programme (1 month duration) for undergraduate students of science in the areas of diagnostic and applied Microbiology.

13. Short term training programme is proposed to start for Electrical and Mechanical Engineering students (Polytechnic and ITI) from other Colleges.

14. Proposal given to convert diagnostic and manufacturing labs into Modular Lab as per GMP & GLP norms.

15. Proposal given to tighten up the security of the campus by constructing the compound wall.

16. Permission awaited to start an ATM centre within the campus.
